Cumming Group, under the name of TowerEight, is providing cost management services for both the residential and Royal Academy of Dance elements of the project. With the shell and core contract already in place and works underway, the team were responsible for cost planning and procurement of the internal fit-out and external works packages.

The Avanton’s York Place, Battersea scheme includes 299 mixed-tenure residential units across three blocks up to 24 stories tall. The three blocks sit on a landscaped podium deck with further public amenities including a gymnasium and concierge at ground level. The sub-podium-level space of circa 6,000m² will serve as the new international headquarters for the Royal Academy of Dance.

The residential element of the project achieved practical completion in Q1 2021, with the Royal Academy of Dance fit-out scheduled to achieve practical completion in Q2 2021.
