Cumming, under the name of MHBC Cumming, oversaw this project to strip off combustible ACM cladding on a substantial block of 183 residential apartments and replace it with new solid aluminium panels. The work was completed on behalf of the freehold owner. Clegg Construction were appointed on Cumming’s instructions to strip back and replace the original cladding, supporting frameworks and insulation, replicating as far as possible the footprint of the original, but in an alternative bronze colour. This gave the building a new lease of life for the owner and occupiers, while ensuring full compliance with current planning, building, and regulatory fire safety requirements.
