Cumming Group, under the name of MHBC Cumming, provided project management, cost management and other services for three projects at St Paul’s Girls’ School in London. One of these projects is a new building that provides senior school facilities and classrooms, features striking architecture, and is set on a tight, fully operational city centre. The project required a lengthy consultation and planning process to secure consent, as well as extensive negotiations with stakeholders and the contracting team to deal with logistics.

The second project was the restoration of the Music Room/Singing Hall at this famous school, where Gustav Holst composed “The Planets”. Finally, Cumming Group provided project management, employer’s agent, and cost consulting services for the multi-use Sports Pavilion project, which included an exercise studio, gym, teaching and changing facilities, new tennis/netball courts and facilities for grounds personnel. The project site is situated in a residential area and required significant town planning negotiations to secure the consent on playing fields land.
