This project consisted of the £3 million refurbishment of two retail units for Lidl and Home Bargains in Bedford, following substantial enabling works and S278 road alterations. Cumming Group, under the name of MHBC Cumming, steered the design team through the early stages of COVID to mitigate potential delays and ensure the target dates were achieved for the retailers. Our team were also involved in the extensive deal and lease negotiations prior to commencement to protect the landlord’s position. The project was successfully handed over in June 2020.
