This scheme consisted of substantial repurposing and refurbishment works to 24,000 square feet of redundant office space in Headingley, Leeds on behalf of Schroders Real Estate Investment. Works included reconfiguring the existing building layout, strengthening the existing structure, forming new entrances and staircases, and installing a new lift linking the new entrance to the upper floors, all to make way for a gym operator taking occupation in the space as part of their strategic rollout across the UK. Electric vehicle charging facilities were also introduced to the site, and additional enhancements were made to the building’s fabric to increase energy efficiency.
