The pandemic lockdowns imposed in the Yorkshire and the Humber region are reflected in the -5.7% YoY change of total construction volume in 2020.

However, we expect this region to have a quick recovery path as its future construction volume should keep rising for the next three years. Private manufacturing structures were hit hard last year with a YoY decline of -43.9%, but are projected to see a sharp rise of 62.2% in 2021. Different from other sectors, the infrastructure sector actually grew by 25% during 2020 and is expected to follow the same trend in 2021. Private housing sould see modest growth over last year and over the next several years.
