The West Midlands construction market should continue its steady rise for all four sectors — residential, non-residential, public and private constrution — in 2021.
West Midlands is expected to remain a consistent market over the coming three years. Most of the sectors dropped severely last year except for public housing and public structures. From 2019 to 2020, public and non-residential construction saw sudden drops because of the pandemic and subsequent lockdown policies. As the most important sector, private housing is expected to increase in 2021 and beyond, on its way to returning to its pre-COVID level.
